Another Monday gone... just like that.. a new mth started.. what have I been up to? What's new with the girl?
Mommy's been pretty busy the weekend. Finally cleaned up my study table! Finally.. there's a space for my notes and books.. oh yes, the books are neatly lined up in the cupboard. There's even room to breathe.. hehe
Baby girl? The birthday girl got to see Grandma in JB. Bullied grams for not layaning her.. oh boy.. eyes sleepy.. still have to cook Ayam Lemak Chilli Padi.. need to sleep. Anyway.. will blog later. Right now, the blog seems garbled.. garbish.. hahaha

Asking why I'm at so early today? The reason: I'm sick. very sick.. took med and couldn't open my eyes.. my poor daughter had to stay in the bedroom with me as I was gone most of the time.
Why am I sick? Viral fever plus allergy. Yucks! My whole body popped watery lesions.. not chix pox.. just those like a rash or after an insect bite? Doc said that I could be allergic to the toxins.
Anyway, Doc gave me 2 days MC. No questions asked. I didn't even ask for any MC. He said to take the med religiously and hopefully by Sat to recover. I hope so too.
So I'm gg to bed again... btw... happy 2nd birthday to my daughter... in advance.. tmr's your big day, but mommy will be too sick to wake up :P

May Day holidays
Yes, it's another May Day celebration. For the kids, it's a holiday. For the working folks, a deserved holiday to recognise our contributions. As I sat here reading about the May Day speech, the May Day rally, the call for more mothers to go out and work, I reflect upon myself.
I'm a working woman, a mother and wife. Importantly, I'm a nurturer of the family. Is continuining to work what I want to do the whole time? Reading an article in the Newpaper, I thought about what the lawyer who just gave birth and yet, a colleague brought papers for her to work on whilst 'visiting' her in the hospital. Hello! Excuse me! She just gave birth! Don't you have any feelings? She cried saying that it's too early for her.
Reflections on myself: I recalled that on the day after I just gave birth (I delivered in the early morning), I received a call on my mobile... and lo and behold, it was my colleague, who requested me to assist on what items to quote an important overseas customer.. after wishing me a nice congratulations. I was shocked! Exasperated! Even then, I assisted to inform (just to take note, I informed and guided this chap way before I left for the leave). Another shock came. The customer called me personally, mind you, I was in the hospital and was informed that the quote didn't arrive. In fact, it wasn't sent..
With such responsibilities, how can a working mother enjoy her 3mths maternity leave to bond with the newborn treasure? Even when I switched to a more fixed hours job, it wasn't enough time to do much with my baby. Goodness, it's a real tough call to balance work and life. Can't the govt suggest something beneficial that can entice working mothers like me to think about continuing to work in Singapore? Else, Singapore will likely see a growing number of working mothers like me who will move away from Singapore into other markets providing more suitable working environments.
Think about it Singapore... This working mother is already thinking... of leaving for greener pastures.

Due to high demand.. and thanks to my dearest Jidan who requests for more bloggings... here I am.
Nothing much to say though. Just finished my Intl Biz assignment 1. Dunno what's my grade for the Macro assignment 1. Did it like within less than 1wk... since the text came 1 wk late :P Geez... And they extended the assignment due date.. and i've handed it up on time. oh well. That's one off the mind.
Note to self: Another 2 more to go.

Tomorrow's Monday. Shucks! Will have a LONG day ahead man. Need to book for leave for my daughter's birthday. Where should we go? I thought of a picnic in the zoo! Can imagine her running after the monkeys and orangutans and girrafes.. I just hope she won't hug a pig or something since it's like one of her vocabs now. *shudders*
Amelia's now a darling. A darling terror on 2s.. hehe.. She's now sleeping of coz. She now has a bed. Yes, mommy and daddy finally got her a bed. A pine cot-cum-junior bed. It's quite a bargain. Got it with the mattress and 9 piece beddings for only $299! Cheap huh?
She now speaks in fluent 5 words sentences. Her vocabs is increasing by the day. And oh yes, I've weaned her off bad habit of watching barney and hi-5 before sleeping. Now, it's bedtime story by mommy.. as daddy hates reading! haha...

Now let's see... oh yeah... DnD was on a Friday and whilst all of the rest of the company had half day and went off to pamper and pretty themselves fine and dandy, we at Customer Svc had to continue to work until the end... so pitiful until we've got customers sympathizing with us... maybe that's why very little complaints. Hehe..
DnD.. rushed the 'babe' (read as 'ba-be') to the hotel. They had to perform you see for the best dressed table. Of coz... screamed our heads off to support our buddies. Let's see.. our buddies won: best dressed male and best table.. and my pal from another dept won best dressed female. 3 folks won top 10 and what did I get?
A very high fever that didn't go away.. and due to that.. overshot my medical leave for the whole yr. Oh yeah... I vomitted and slogged my way to even the restroom at nite. Not a good experience.
Alright.. better get some shuteye. I need to see the doctor tomorrow. I'm feverish and my throat is swelling so badly that I can't talked and strained my throat just now. Not good at all. Esp when it's bleeding.
Blogging more ahead to come. Let's see if I can make $ out of blogging. hahaha...

Long overdue
ok.. so I was late.. Anyway: Happy New Year to one and all.
So freaking busy that I couldn't even blog.. sigh.. anyway, sis-in-law gave birth to a girl and making me want to have another baby. Brought me to lots of other what to do list. Instead of proscrating, here's the list:
1. Make more babies (the making is fun-er.. *snickers*)
2. Save more (always lacking in the Vit M)
3. Get promoted
4. Taking better care of health
Oh ya... talking abt health - I had dengue 1 wk before new yr! Geez.. and I had to miss my friend's Huda's wedding at that too! Missed meeting with my old friends.. Sigh.. Actually, doctors aren't confirm whether it's dengue or or virus, but I was vegetable for 1 wk. Immediately on the DnD nite (will talk abt that later), I developed high fever. Luckily I was at in-laws place as the next day, I developed even higher fever and couldn't get out of bed. Always vomitting and having inferal headache. In the end, had to go hospital for drip, was sucked blood with bruises.. and daily blood taking.. so much so I looked like a victim of a vampire!
Baby Amelia: She's now longer a baby. She's a walking, running, climbing and jumping terror on 2 feet!! Full of antics. Full of mischief.. and you know what? When she knows one is angry with her, she'll put on her brightest eyes and open her big round eyes wide and kisses you. Dang! You can't stay angry with her for a long time. She has her dad, grandma, grandpa and many others eating out of small little hand. But not her mommy, I'm resistant to all her blink-blinks and crying. I say 'Let her cry' No diff.. she'll quiet down when she's tired. Hahaha.. Sadistic mother.
Oops... speak of the devil, she's awake.. and crying for me.. xxx all!

Yes... finally a blog.. one of the reasons? I forgot my username.. and then I forgot my password... geez... weirdsville man!
Anyhow, let's see wat I can update on:
1) New job - very interesting. I love helping people :) But bad is that I lose my voice easily.. must undergo speaking from diaphram - hmm... My colleagues are a great bunch. Love u guys!!
2) My daughter - she's a real angel... climbing around.. munching on me... I just got her new shoes.. bigger size.. but are good for long walks.. haha.. mommy's gonna torture her with more exercisez.
3) Encounter with Arul's teachers - they irritatingly asked me and hubby to meet them when I'm on MC! Geez... me on MC is no good u know.. cranky like hell. Anyhow, me was a jumping shrimp to hear things said abt my bro.. so I also opened my story.. and handled the situation well.. so much so that the teachers were in awe.. HAH! Don't think u r teachers and much older than this couple, u can bully us. We (esp. me) don't take things lying down :P I think working at my current place also taught me life lessons and skills that are worth a lifetime. So the thing's settled with no thanks to the teachers who made personal judgement before completing proper investigation *blah* !
Oh YES, the one good thing out of it - dated my hubby for 1 hr! My God! It feels good to just have just the two of us.
Oh well.. need to chat to gf now... hehe

World cup fever - Pt 2 Congrats KOREA!!
yey to one of my fave team Korea! congrats congrats congrats!
winning the 2-1 versus tobago and trinidad (togo) was a much deserved win. The togo players were good! kudos for the superb goal (abd kader i think) at the 31 min! that was a nice clean goal. togoans were like hungry hyenas... but no match for the swift attack of the ahn and chungsoo duo. yes! those two packed a punch!
AHH... Korea bring the glory to Asia again!!!

Anyway.. finally managed to watch the first world cup match.. guess wat? i watched that humiliating excruciating match of japan vs aust where japan LOST a HUMILIATING 3-1!!! how's that to my waste of time watching it? it wasn't even mediocre! the effort wasn't even put in. it was like a bunch of ninnies (sorry to all my jap frenz) pushing their balls around as if they had all the bluidy time in the world. DAMN!
~~A real waste of my precious time to watch Korean dramas! haha...~~
Sidetrack there. honestly... i expected more from japan! they were like a hot favourite for reach the quarter finals. Now would be even tougher for them to reach it as they face off the Goliaths of the World cup! God bless them now..
